Wow, can't believe 6 months have past. Alot has changed in the past six months. First of all I found out May 8 I was pregnant with baby# 2. We are extremely excited!!! I did have a little bit of night sickness, which was a bit strange. I survived my first trimester and am now on my second. We find out what we are having on Sept 4. Bentley seems to be pretty excited about being a big sister. She walks around letting everyone know that she is having a baby brother. Matt and I are predicting a boy as well, but you just never know. Other than that I'm feeling very good and already starting to show, which is exciting!!! Bentley has become such a little girl these days. She's been potty trained for about 3 or so months. We are very proud of her. I was a little nervous at first, but she caught on quickly and has done extremely well. We have also "booted" her out of our bed. She is going on her first full week sleeping in her bed. The first two or three nights were rough on mommy, but as hard as it was I didn't give in and kept putting her back in her bed. It has paid off let me tell you. Matt and I actually have some "us" time alone. My two goals I wanted to have accomplished before baby #2 was born was to have Bentley potty trained and in her own bed on somewhat of a schedule.....Mission achieved!!!!! I'm soooo proud of Matt and myself for sticking to our guns on this one. I think it will make both of our lives easier as it gets closer to the baby being born.
Another big project going on in our lives is we decided to build a house. It is going to be fabulous and we are extemely excited about that too. We are staying in our subdivision, but it's about a mile away from where we are now in a gated community on a small "lake." We are backed up to the lake and there are only 86 other homes being built in this area. As it comes along, I will share photo's with everyone. They are suppose to start framing it Monday and they are telling us it should be finished in about 90 days weather permitting. Hopefully we will be living in our new home before Christmas because I won't be able to travel home (Dumas) this year due to the pregnancy:-(
That's it for today, I'm sure I have a ton more to blog about, but it's night-night time so I'll try to be better at keeping up with this and not wait 6 months between:-)

Today is my first time to blog. So bare with me I'm new at this. This is such a great idea especially for friends and family who live so far away that don't get to see our lil princess grow up.
It's hard to believe she is 2yrs. and 4mo. It just seems like yesterday I was pregnant with her. She is such a sweetheart!!! I'm so blessed to have such a sweet spirited little girl. I'm almost afraid to have another one, the next one may not be so easy:-)
Anyways, just to catch everyone up on what's going on in the Burk Household....Bentley is still going to gymnastics every Monday. She absolutley loves "Nastics". If I hear it once, I hear it 50 times throughout the week, "I go to nastics"I'm constantly repeating myself, "not until next Monday honey". We cut her hair in a little bob about a month ago. She had a bit of a mullet going on, so I bit the bullet and chopped it. It is really cute, but will probably grow it back out. Potty training....well let's just say it hasn't been easy. She is a smart cookie, but very stubborn (she must get that from her daddy). She totally lets me know when she wants to go sit on the potty, but she won't go tee-tee in it for the life of me. After getting completely frustrated, I've decided to let it be. I will continue to work with her and keep sitting her on the potty, eventually she will just DO IT!!!! Right????? That's about all that's going on with my lil Pooters. She just continues to grow bigger, laugh alot and love more!!!!! Matt is just so-so busy with work. Since our last hurricane season, he hasn't had much of a life. It being the first big hurricane season for H2O Solutions. Hopefully he will have 2008 season wrapped up before June (starting of hurricane season 2009) gets here. We may be able to get in a vacation or two before then. Me, I'm just busy working two days a week for my dentist I worked for prior to having Bentley and trying to keep up with the little toot!!! She is busy and keeps me on my toes!!! I have started working out a few days at the gym every now and then and running 2 miles on my treadmill at least 5 days a week. I'm trying to get my 20 yr. old body back, is it possible?????? Probably not, but what the heck what have I got to lose.....inches!!!!! Let's see on Sunday I dropped my Iphone and shattered the face. I was sooo sick to my stomach. I called my Matt while he was on the golf course hysterical, he thought something had happened to Bentley. I was so mad at myself, one for not being careful and two for not having my case on it. I went to set it on our island and it slipped out of my hands and fell face first on our slate floors in the kitchen. Makes me sick just thinking about it. I think I was more afraid of Matt telling me I couldn't have another one, but him being the SWEET husband felt sorry for me and said I could replace it. The bad thing about these expensive phones is there is no insurance coverage on accidental damage, so I have to buy a whole new phone. That really stinks, but at least I'm getting a brand new one and will be much more careful with it and will keep the case on it at all times.
I will try to keep up with this blogging thing. It will allow all of our friends and family to see the fast-crazy, but blessed world us Burk's live in.
